The Franklin Hotel opens to solid bookings in first week
When visitors step into The Franklin, they may think they are stepping into a hotel in New York or London. Local architect Josh Gurlitz took his inspiration from much larger metropolitan settings in designing the hotel.
There are carpets from England, oval beveled mirrors, large domes, custom-designed paneling. The Roberts at the Franklin lobby bar features a jazz piano and fireplace and vistors can take in the sights at a sidewalk patio.
The Franklin will feature 60 deluxe executive guestrooms, as well as seven penthouse suites. No amenity is spared. There will be complimentary high-speed internet, 32-inch HD TV, nightly turndown service, and spacious marble bathrooms, and connections for iPod with high-fidelity sound.
The penthouse suites will have private patio balconies with views of Franklin Street, and inside soft seating, a conference table for private receptions.
On the main floor there is 2300 square feet of meeting space that can accomodate up to 150 guests.
